Real-Time Location System (RTLS) gives you the ability to track resources in real time, and thus effectively streamlines the flow of goods and people.
RTLS, i.e. Real-Time Location System, is a solution based on modern UWB (Ultra-Wideband) radio technology, thanks to which it is possible to monitor resources in real time. Transmitters placed on them, also known as tags or markers, help to monitor the location of objects. The receivers located in the area that we want to control are responsible for reading the location of individual objects. The digital version of the data collected by the receivers is stored in the RTLS software. RTLS technology can be used to locate things as well as people or animals.

RTLS system allows you to control the warehouse and production process as well as monitor the movement of people and animals in a specific location. The system can be implemented with high precision inside buildings – for example in warehouses or production halls. Thanks to RTLS technology, employees do not waste time searching for resources.
RTLS is used in industry and logistics. In the first case, the automotive industry is the leader. In the latter, the management of full pallets by large logistics operators can be an example. There is also a growing demand for asset tracking in the medical industry – monitoring of medical equipment.

The Sewio RTLS solution allows for full real-time visualization in a given area. The location of tracked assets is determined on the site plan. Knowing where resources are located shortens the search time for missing or misplaced resources.
Knowledge of the flow of resources within the plant allows you to improve process planning and inventory monitoring.

RTLS system for tracking trucks (or other vehicles, e.g. AGV) supports fleet management. The tracked vehicle must be equipped with a tag that transmits the signal to the receivers. The receivers, in turn, send a signal to the RTLS server and calculate the position of the vehicle in real time with an accuracy of 30 cm. The tags are powered from the truck’s battery or from its own battery.
